Firemen's BBQ & EMT 911 Sundaes
4th of July Fireworks over the Lake

Enjoy delicious BBQ at the 41st Annual Eagle Nest Volunteer Fire Department BBQ Benefit. Barbecue beef, beans, coleslaw, roll and beverage will be $12 per plate donation. The EMT 911 Sundae proceeds will benefit the Eagle Nest Volunteer Ambulance Service.
After dark, enjoy the firework display over the Eagle Nest Lake.

hosted by the Village of Eagle Nest with volunteer support by many FRIENDS members.

Meet at the Eagle Nest Lake State Park Visitor Center. We will be cleaning the area along the lake bank from the visitor Center to the South Boat Ramp.
River Roundup at Cimarron Canyon State Park
POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Help with the most fun treasure hunts of the season. Enjoy a beautiful walk along the shoreline collecting trash and treasures. You will enjoy a great day full of good deeds as we scour the shore. Bring gloves and water. Dress for sunny weather, potentially muddy banks and tall weeds. Trash bags will be provided by the State Park. Come join the fun!

National Trails Day Hike

Enjoy a beautiful hike on Clear Creek Trail in Cimarron Canyon. Meet at the Trail head at 9:00 am.
Children's Fishing Derby

Fun for children ages 3-11 at the Maverick Campground in Cimarron Canyon State Park. Meet at the Gravel Pit Lakes. Registration starts at 10:00 am and fish until 1:00 pm. For more information call 575-377-1594 or 575-377-6271.

Come see what FRIENDS is all about. Join us at our Winter Meeting and Potluck. If you want, bring your favorite dish to share. Meeting will take place at 5:30 pm at the Eagle Nest Lake State Park Visitor Center, 42 Marina Way, Eagle Nest NM.
Ice Fishing Tournament

Because of COVID-19 and the current New Mexico Public Health Order, this event is cancelled for 2021.
There are 4 categories: Trout/Salmon, Perch, Pike, and Creel (Points for total fish in the Creel category are based on entry into one or more of the species categories.)
Registration from 6:00-11:00 am at Eagle Nest Lake State Park Visitor Center, 42 Marina Way, Eagle Nest NM. Phone 575-377-1594. Submit winning fish to tournament judges by 2:00 pm to be eligible for prizes. Cash prizes, raffle items and goodie bags available. New Mexico Game & Fish and State Park regulations will be enforced. Polar Bear Plunge and Stomp

Because of COVID-19 and the current New Mexico Public Health Order, this event is cancelled for 2021.
Participate in the Polar Bear Stomp along the Eagle Nest Lake Trail. Then take the Polar Bear Challenge and plunge into the Eagle Nest Lake on New Year's Day! Hot beverages and refreshments will be provided. There is no fee to register, however a $5 Park fee will apply. Registration for both events begins at 9 am. Polar Bear Stomp begins at 10 am and the Plunge begins at 11 am. Shoes are required to take the plunge. Come to the Eagle Nest Lake State Park Visitor Center, 42 Marina Way, Eagle Nest NM.
